This portrait of myself was inspired by the exploration of portraiture through a contemporary lens.

My approach in creating the composition for this self-portrait began with a trip to the Denver Art Museum. I was inspired by an artwork called Secret Garden by Daniel Brown. This contemporary work was a continually changing image of the viewer intertwined into the interactive software.

I consider myself a constant work-in-progress striving for continual improvement and intensity in my ideas and interests. My life is blended with steady relationships, solid values, and layered with complexity. In creating this image, it was important to capture myself as a sum of parts represented with symbolism and a sense of playfulness in my application.
